  • Random Thoughts From Vacation

    There’s something interesting that happens when you’re on vacation with no real plans (other than relax) - you get a lot of time to think. We spent four days on on the road and seven days in the Gulf of Mexico on a west Caribbean cruise. 38 hours of total drive time gives you a lot of time with your own thoughts, especially when most everyone else in the car is either sleeping, reading, or watching movies.

  • 2015 One Word Review

    Sometime near the end of 2014 or the beginning of 2015, I decided to try the “one word for the year” challenge (http://myoneword.org/). I had heard about it on the radio a couple years prior and how God had used it in incredible ways for the people participating in it. I prayed about it, trying to figure out my word. For three weeks, the one word that stood out to me was “new.”
